RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS POLICY

At Ballyholland Poultry & Agri Supplies, we take biosecurity, animal health and product integrity seriously. Due to the nature of many of the products we supply, returns are limited and subject to the conditions set out below.

YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection laws, including your rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

CANCELLATION RIGHTS FOR ONLINE ORDERS

Where applicable, consumers purchasing online may have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of receiving goods.

However, this right does not apply to certain products, including:

  • Goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised;

  • Special-order or pre-ordered products sourced specifically for a customer;

  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;

  • Perishable goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;

  • Any products exempt from cancellation rights under applicable consumer legislation.

Where a cancellation right applies, customers must notify us in writing within 14 days of receiving the goods and must return the goods unused, unopened, in their original packaging and in a resaleable condition.

BIOSECURITY & HYGIENE RESTRICTIONS

To protect animal health and maintain strict biosecurity standards, we do not accept returns of products that have been:

  • Opened;

  • Used;

  • Installed;

  • Stored on a farm, smallholding or premises where livestock or poultry are kept;

  • Removed from their original sealed packaging; or

  • Otherwise rendered unsuitable for resale.

This restriction applies even where the customer no longer requires the item or has ordered incorrectly.

DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

Customers should inspect all goods immediately upon delivery.

If an item is damaged, faulty, defective or supplied incorrectly, customers must contact us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing sales@ballyhollandpoultry.com.

Please include:

  • Order number;

  • Description of the issue;

  • Photographs showing the problem; and

  • Photographs of the packaging where applicable.

We reserve the right to investigate all claims before approving a replacement, repair or refund.

REFUSED DELIVERIES

Where a customer refuses delivery of a correctly supplied order without a valid legal basis, we reserve the right to deduct any shipping, return shipping, handling or restocking costs incurred before any refund is issued.

RETURNS PROCESS

No goods may be returned without prior written authorisation from Ballyholland Poultry & Agri Supplies.

Unauthorised returns may be refused and returned to the sender at the sender's expense.

REFUNDS

Where a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method.

Refunds will normally be processed within 10 business days of approval. Banking providers may require additional time to credit funds to the customer's account.
