Yard/Store Person

Job Summary

Ballyholland Poultry & Agri Supplies Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard/Store Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with deliveries, managing stock in the yard and store, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in agriculture and hands-on work in a busy supply environment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Duties:

• Load and unload goods for delivery to customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely deliveries of poultry and agricultural supplies.
• Drive company vehicles safely and maintain delivery records.
• Provide excellent customer service when making deliveries.

Yard Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading products.
• Operate forklifts and other handling equipment (training provided if necessary).
• Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely.

Store Duties:

• Manage stock levels and conduct inventory checks.
• Assist customers in-store with product selection and advice.
• Process sales transactions and handle cash/card payments.
• Ensure store displays are well-maintained and stocked.

Essential Requirements

• Full, clean UK driving license (preferably with experience in van driving).
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist in different areas as needed.
• Basic computer skills for stock management and transactions.
• Interest or experience in agriculture, farming, or poultry supplies (preferred).
• Forklift license is an advantage (training may be provided).
